New Branches

We know from first-hand experience that we can’t reach every family, and that in some areas the support families need simply isn’t available.

Our family support services are accessible wherever you live, but you may feel that having a physical Little Miracles branch in your area would make a real difference. You might have noticed that some of the services families with children with additional needs, disabilities and life-limiting conditions rely on are limited or missing locally. While many of our services are available online, we know that meeting in person, sharing experiences and taking part in activities together helps families connect with others who understand their journey and can significantly reduce feelings of isolation.

That’s where our physical branches come in.

Branches usually begin as small, welcoming groups led by trained volunteers, offering regular sessions and events in local venues such as church halls or soft play centres. As a branch grows, it may expand its activities, take on permanent staff and deliver more specialised services, including counselling or family support.

We’re here to support new branches every step of the way, until they become fully established members of the Little Miracles family.

What do we need to set-up a new branch?

To set-up a physical branch we usually need a minimum of:

  • Five committed volunteers
  • 100 families who want to access activities. Before we start running physical activities for families we need to know that there is enough demand to run them.
  • A safe venue. We need an easily accessible location for families to meet and where children can play.
  • £2,000

What will happen next?

Once local demand has been clearly demonstrated, five volunteers are in place and £2,000 has been successfully fundraised, the branch is ready to take its next step.

At this stage, the team will run their first official event, marking the beginning of regular meet-ups that deliver activities and family support. These sessions create a safe, welcoming space for families to connect, share experiences and access vital support.

Over time, this growing programme becomes a lifeline for hundreds of families, helping to reduce isolation and ensure no family feels alone on their journey.

We can support you with much of the above and guide you through each stage of the process. If you would like to register your interest in starting or supporting a branch, please get in touch with us — we’d love to hear from you.
