We have need of your skills!

We have 2.5 acres of beautiful garden space here at Little Miracles Head office in Peterborough, Holbeach has a large indoor setting and Wisbech has a new setting that could all use your time and support. 

Duties:

•  General Garden maintenance or assistance with DIY projects around the centre/branch.

We have general gardening tools at head office but are happy for you to bring your own to support you in your volunteering role at any of our branches after a discussion with the Branch Lead/Volunteer Manager.

Please be aware that the centre/branches are in constant use by our Alternative Provision children and member families, the children can be inquisitive! 

Skills and Attributes

• General gardening knowledge or DIY knowledge.
• Enthusiastic and positive. 
• Patient and understanding. 
• Good Communicator. 
• Team Player. 
• No experience required, while we love qualified volunteers, everyone is welcome, and qualifications are not essential. All we ask is that you are willing to learn and participate.

Recruitment Requirements

• An informal interview with our Volunteer Manager
• Two references
  • One Professional Reference - Previous employer or volunteer organisation you have worked/volunteered with.
  • One Personal Reference - A friend or someone who has known you personally for 2+ years but is not related to you either by blood or marriage.
• An enhanced DBS Check to be completed by Little Miracles.
• Completion of 8 Mandatory Training Courses on our external training platform in line with our Safeguarding policy and procedures.
• Attendance on an induction session.
