Activity World Volunteer

Do you have free time once every two months?

Fancy an action-packed fun-filled Saturday evening facilitating play at a local Soft-Play venue?

Then you are just the person we are looking for!

If you are working towards a childcare qualification, then this is excellent experience of working with multiple ages and abilities within a fun setting.

Duties:
  • Facilitate kind and respectful play by children with their peers in a local Soft-Play venue.
  • Support qualified practitioners within the venue.
  • Communicate with qualified childcare practitioners and the Activity Lead at the event. 
  • Chat to parents and signpost to our support services or employed members of the team.
Skills and Attributes
  • Enthusiastic and positive. 
  • Patient and understanding. 
  • Good Communicator. 
  • Team Player. 
  • No experience required, while we love qualified volunteers, everyone is welcome, and qualifications are not essential. All we ask is that you are willing to learn and participate.

Recruitment Requirements
  • An informal interview with our Volunteer Manager
  • Two references
    • One Professional Reference - Previous employer or volunteer organisation you have worked/volunteered with.
    • One Personal Reference - A friend or someone who has known you personally for 2+ years but is not related to you either by blood or marriage.
  • An enhanced DBS Check to be completed by Little Miracles.
  • Completion of 8 Mandatory Training Courses on our external training platform in line with our Safeguarding policy and procedures.
  • Attendance on an induction session.
