Activities
At Little Miracles, we provide inclusive, welcoming activities for children with additional needs, disabilities and life-limiting conditions, as well as support for their families.
Our sessions are designed to be safe, supportive and fun, giving children the opportunity to build confidence, make friends and enjoy new experiences in an environment where they feel understood, accepted and can simply be themselves.
Families are welcome to attend as many activities as they like, and a formal diagnosis is not required. If your child has additional needs, we would love to welcome you and support your family on your journey.

A Safe and Inclusive Space for Families
Many families tell us that traditional activities can sometimes feel overwhelming or difficult to access. At Little Miracles, everything we do is designed with the needs of the children and families we support at the heart of it.
Our sessions are flexible, inclusive and welcoming, allowing every child to take part in a way that feels right for them. Each of our branches develops activities based on the needs of local families, helping to create supportive environments where children can thrive and families can feel at ease.
We know how important it is to be surrounded by people who understand. That’s why our activities provide opportunities for families to connect, build friendships and enjoy quality time together without judgement or pressure.
If you are looking for additional support alongside our activities, you can explore our Family Support services or speak to a member of our team, who will be happy to help and guide you towards the support that best meets your family's needs.
What Activities Can You Expect?
Across our centres, we offer a wide range of activities throughout the year, giving children and families plenty of opportunities to connect, have fun and be themselves.
From regular sessions and creative activities to themed events, seasonal celebrations, family days out and special experiences, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Our activities are carefully designed to be inclusive, supportive and accessible for everyone.

Many families tell us that Little Miracles provides a space where their children feel comfortable, confident and able to take part in activities that may be difficult to access in mainstream settings. By reducing anxiety and creating a welcoming environment, we help children and families enjoy positive experiences together while building friendships and a sense of belonging.
"I just wanted to say thank you very much. We all really enjoyed the pantomime yesterday very much. My daughter doesn't have very long left now and is end-of-life-care, it was so nice to be able to make some beautiful memories she was very happy and really enjoyed herself. Once again thank you"

Activities That Support the Whole Family
At Little Miracles, we are here for the whole family. We understand that parents, carers and siblings also benefit from having a strong support network and opportunities to connect with others who share similar experiences.
While children enjoy activities and make new friends, parents and carers can build friendships with people who understand the joys and challenges of family life with additional needs. For many families, this sense of community and belonging becomes just as valuable as the activities themselves.
Our work is made possible through the support of local businesses, community partners and generous supporters who help us create opportunities that many families might not otherwise be able to access.
If you would like to help us continue making a difference for families, you can find out more about ways to get involved on our Support Us page.
"We have been working with Little Miracles for the past few years as we are so grateful for the amazing facility and services they provide for the local community and further beyond. When we support Little Miracles, whether its sponsoring events, helping with jobs they need our expertise on, or just lending some extra helping hands, we also find it gives us as a business, and our team members, an enormous sense of satisfaction to be part of this great project. Its also so wonderful to see the children thrive in the setting – Little Miracles do a great job – thank you for letting us help where we can."

Specialist Sessions for Complex Needs (PMLD)
Please note that some sessions are exclusively for PMLD children and their families - those with Profound and Multiple Leaning Difficulties. These children have more than one disability, the most significant of which is a profound intellectual disability and great difficulty communicating, often requiring those who know them well to interpret their responses and intent.
PMLD children frequently also have additional, disabling conditions which may include:
- physical disabilities – that limit them in undertaking everyday tasks and often restrict mobility; risk to body shape
- sensory impairments
- sensory processing difficulties
- complex health needs, (e.g. epilepsy, respiratory problems, dysphagia and eating and drinking problems)
If you are unsure whether your child qualifies for our PMLD sessions, please get in touch or call 01733 262226.

External Care Providers and Agencies
From June 2026, external care agencies and agency care staff are no longer permitted to attend Little Miracles sessions, activities, or remain on site whilst our services are being delivered.
This decision follows a comprehensive review of our safeguarding, operational and insurance responsibilities and ensures that all individuals participating within our centres operate under Little Miracles' policies, procedures and supervision arrangements.
Little Miracles supports families of children with additional needs, disabilities and life-limiting conditions, and this change helps us maintain the highest standards of safety, accountability and wellbeing for the children, young people and families who access our services.
If you have any questions about this policy, please contact us at enquiries@littlemiraclescharity.org.uk.
