Little Miracles Receives A New Wheelchair-Accessible Minibus!

We're delighted to share the exciting news that we have received a brand-new wheelchair-accessible minibus!

The new vehicle has been gifted to Little Miracles thanks to the incredible generosity of Hilton Foods, with support from The Clothworkers Foundation, Variety, the Children's Charity and Variety Golf.

The minibus was funded through Hilton Foods' annual charity golf day, which raises money to support children and young people facing additional challenges. This year, Variety selected Little Miracles to receive one of its specially adapted minibuses, helping us continue to support families who face barriers to accessing activities, services and opportunities.

For many of the families we support, transport can be one of the biggest challenges they face. Families who rely on wheelchairs and specialist equipment often need adapted vehicles to attend activities and events, and without access to suitable transport, many opportunities can simply become out of reach.

Sadly, this can lead to families becoming isolated and missing out on experiences, friendships and the chance to connect with others who understand their journey.

That's why the arrival of the Sunshine Coach means so much to us.

The minibus will help us make sure more children, young people and families can take part in trips, activities and events. Whether it's a day at the seaside, a visit to the cinema, a trip to the farm or an outing to Duxford Air Museum, the Sunshine Coach will help families get there safely and comfortably.

Most importantly, it will help ensure that transport is not the reason a family misses out.

Members of the Little Miracles team recently travelled to Hertfordshire to officially receive the vehicle at a presentation event held at The Grove Golf Course.

It was a wonderful day and a fantastic opportunity to meet some of the people whose support made this possible. We were made to feel incredibly welcome and were able to thank many of those involved in raising the funds for the minibus.

One of the highlights of the day was watching 10-year-old Ava present a handmade thank-you card to the guests. Her card was very well received and she certainly kept everyone entertained throughout the afternoon.

We also had the opportunity to meet former England footballers Glenn Hoddle (pictured above) and James Collins, alongside a number of well-known cricketers and supporters of the event.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Hilton Foods, The Clothworkers Foundation, Variety the Children's Charity, Variety Golf and everyone who supported the charity golf day. Your generosity will make a real difference to the families who access our services.

The Sunshine Coach is already being put to good use, and we can't wait to share its adventures with you over the coming months.

Keep an eye on our Facebook page to see where it goes next and the difference it is making for Little Miracles families.
