Downham Market branch take part in the town's Golden Anniversary event

On bank holiday Monday, one of our newest branches, Downham Market, took part in celebrating fifty years of festival fun when the parade marched into town.
The golden anniversary event saw breathtaking arena attractions and colourful floats as carnival day got underway. Our Downham Market team were particularly proud of their float which was completely homemade by the children and their families, with no budget and very little time!
Since its launch in February, Little Miracles' Downham Market Branch has supported more than 40 people with parent and carer support groups and stay and play sessions, each with a different theme, like nerf wars, magic, and Easter.
In the coming months the branch lead is hoping to introduce a story time session for younger children and those who are home educated.
Our Downham Market branch lead, Danii, said -
"I've really enjoyed getting to know the Downham Market families and bringing support and fun to my local area. I'm very excited to continue the fun and to continue to build a supportive and inclusive environment for the families in Downham Market. The aim for the summer holidays is to bring a range of activities for the different ages as we have a wide range of children from babies to teens and I want to create exciting opportunities for everyone!"
We are really excited to see what the summer brings for families of children with additional needs, disabilities and life-limiting conditions across the whole of West Norfolk. Watch this space to find out!
