Rachael Evans

Rachael joined the trustee board at Little Miracles in 2025, having built a strong connection with the charity through her wider professional work and community engagement. From the outset, she was drawn to the organisation’s clarity of purpose and the very real, practical difference it makes to children and families who need support most.
Reflecting on why she chose to take her involvement further, Rachael explains:
"I first came across Little Miracles through conversations with the Chairman, Ian, and the wider network around the charity. What stood out immediately was not just the ambition, but the warmth and integrity behind the work. This is a charity that listens carefully, responds thoughtfully, and never loses sight of the people it exists to support.
Over time, I stayed connected, watching how the organisation continued to evolve. I was consistently impressed by the way the team balances compassion with professionalism, and heart with rigour. There is a genuine willingness to challenge assumptions, try new approaches, and grow in ways that strengthen long-term impact rather than chasing short-term wins.
Becoming a trustee felt like a natural next step. It gives me the opportunity to give back while bringing perspective from my professional experience in leadership, governance, risk, and strategy. I see the trustee role as one of support and stewardship: offering challenge when needed, acting as a sounding board, and helping ensure the charity remains resilient as it grows.
It is a privilege to support an organisation that combines care, courage, and thoughtful innovation in the service of children and families."
