Challenge Events
Parallel Windsor offers a challenge for everyone, regardless of age, health condition or ability.
Participants can choose from a range of distances — 100m, 1K, 5K, 10K and the ever‑popular SuperSensory. Guided by a “Start Together; Finish Whenever” ethos, there are no cut‑off times, and every participant who starts receives a medal, t‑shirt and goody bag. Assistance animals and mobility aids are warmly welcomed.
The 100m and 1K events unfold against the iconic backdrop of Windsor Castle, while the 5K and 10K routes showcase the breathtaking scenery of the Deer Park. The innovative SuperSensory experience is designed to support neurodiversity and participants with profound and multiple learning disabilities, inviting them to explore sound, taste, touch and smell through a series of sensory‑rich challenges.
Festival of Inclusivity
Alongside the challenge events, Parallel Windsor hosts an award‑winning, fully accessible Festival of Inclusivity — a full day of entertainment and activities for the whole family. Highlights include an outdoor music stage, animal encounters, a climbing wall, storytelling, inclusive sport, cookery sessions, arts and crafts, comedy, yoga and wellbeing activities, dance, a picnic area and a vibrant street‑food offering.
The festival also features a quiet space and sensory zone, supported by comprehensive accessible facilities such as RevoLoos, on‑site parking and medical provision.
