Councillor Chris Harper, Mayor of Peterborough, has selected Little Miracles alongside Peterborough Women’s Aid and the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, and we are incredibly proud to be part of this fantastic group of charities.

This is particularly special for us because Chris has been a friend and supporter of Little Miracles for many years. He has seen the work we do and understands the difference our charity makes to families of children with additional needs, disabilities and life-limiting conditions. He and his wife, Rita, work incredibly hard to support Peterborough’s communities, charities and local organisations, and we are very proud to be one of the causes they have chosen to support.

For Little Miracles, this partnership is about much more than raising money. It gives us an opportunity to raise awareness of the challenges faced by families of children with additional needs, while the funds raised will help us continue providing vital activities, family support, advice, guidance and safe spaces for the families who rely on us.

Every donation can make a real difference – helping a child take part in an activity, giving a parent somewhere to turn for support, or providing a welcoming space where families can feel understood and included.

We are also delighted to be working alongside Peterborough Women’s Aid and the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. Although each charity supports people facing very different circumstances, we share a common goal of improving lives and making a positive difference to those who need our support. We look forward to working together and raising as much as possible for all three charities.

There are already some exciting dates ahead, including the Civic Event following the opening of the Peterborough Faye on 24 September 2026 and the Mayor’s Ball on 22 May 2027. We can’t wait to be part of both occasions and everything else the year will bring.

At Little Miracles, we know we simply could not continue to grow and support more families without the incredible people who stand behind us. Support from people like Chris and the Lady Mayoress, Rita Harper, alongside our volunteers, donors, fundraisers, businesses and community supporters, enables us to reach more families and make a lasting difference.

We are incredibly proud to be one of the Mayor’s Charities for 2026/27 and excited about what we can achieve together.
