Pistons to Places 2026

Could YOU drive from St Ives in Cambridgeshire to Pisa in Italy and back, in a car worth just £1,000?!

The challenge is simple: drive, explore, and give back. Pistons To Places hits the road June 26th to the 29th 2026

Why?

Nick Jones has taken part in the Rust Bucket challenges for several years, but this time he wanted to do something different — to support a local charity and create a fun, community-focused event that everyone could enjoy.

Nick and Wendy sadly lost their daughter, who was severely disabled and, at the time, didn’t have access to the kind of support that Little Miracles now provides. Having since seen the incredible work done by the charity, they wanted to give something back — to help ensure that other families receive the support they once needed but didn’t have.

How does it work?

๐Ÿ Each team/driver has to find a car for £1,000 or less

๐Ÿ You can modify it, paint it or get creative... as long as it’s road legal!

๐ŸIt’s just £250 to secure your spot, which covers your channel crossing and decals

๐ŸONLY 25 cars can enter - when they’re gone they’re gone!

๐Ÿ Covering 2,300 miles across Europe

๐ŸFundraising ask £1,000 per Team

JJ Motors is helping teams get started by offering discounted cars and will buy the cars back once the rally is finished. Additionally, JJ Motors has pledged to make a donation to Little Miracles with every purchase, raising extra support for this amazing cause.

But here’s the best bit: every mile we drive is about raising money for Little Miracles Charity.  A Cambridgeshire charity supporting children with additional needs, disabilities and life-limiting conditions.

This isn’t just about speed. It’s about adventure, stories, laughs, community and the difference we can make together. ๐Ÿ’ช
