  • Meet Beckie

    Published 05/03/26, by Lauren Smith

At Little Miracles, our team is made up of people who bring passion, experience, and empathy to every family they support. Today, we’re excited to introduce Beckie, one of our newest Support Workers, whose background in charity work—and personal experience—make her a perfect fit for our team.

    Beckie’s Journey to Little Miracles

Beckie joined Little Miracles just a month ago, but she’s already making a real impact. She has a wealth of experience in fundraising and outreach across several charities and even co-founded a small charity herself, which she ran for 3.5 years before it sadly had to close last December.

“I came to Little Miracles because I genuinely love charity work,” Beckie says. “And as a mum to a son with additional needs, I understand first-hand the challenges of navigating DLA, EHCPs, and Autism support.” Her experience fighting for the right school placement for her son gives her a deep understanding of the frustrations many parents face when trying to secure the support their children need.

What Beckie Loves About Her Role

Even in her short time with us, Beckie is already embracing every part of her role. She enjoys the variety of tasks, the supportive team environment, meeting the children, learning new skills, and knowing her work is helping families thrive.

“I’m loving the variety of tasks, meeting the kids, and being part of an organisation that truly makes a difference to so many families,” she says.

    Making a Difference Every Day

Beckie’s mix of professional experience, personal insight, and genuine empathy makes her a fantastic support for the families she works with. Whether it’s helping parents navigate complex systems or providing hands-on support to children, she’s committed to making every family’s journey a little easier.

  • Meet Anna

    Anna’s Journey to Little Miracles

Anna first discovered Little Miracles in 2024, but it was in 2025 that she really became involved. Her connection to the charity was shaped by both her professional experience and her life as a parent.

As a Pinpoint Champion, Anna supports families in her local community. She’s a mum to four children, aged 23 to 9, each with their own neurodivergent traits. This gives her a personal understanding of the joys, challenges, and unique moments that come with raising a family where additional needs are part of everyday life.

Having already built strong ties in her community and supported many local families, Anna realised she could combine her personal insight, community work, and professional skills to reach even more families through Little Miracles.

“I’m quite well-known locally because I’ve always done a lot for families in the community,” Anna says. “I thought, why not bring these two worlds together and use my skills to help even more families?”

What Anna Loves Most About Her Role

For Anna, no two families are alike — and that’s exactly what she enjoys.

“I love helping families travel their own individual journey,” she says. “I’ve never met a family that isn’t unique.”

Known as a natural problem solver, Anna enjoys finding solutions and supporting families through challenges. Her colleagues and the families she works with often joke that she’s a bit like an encyclopaedia, thanks to her knowledge and knack for connecting people with the right support.

Anna also loves getting creative. She helps run events and arts-and-crafts activities, with a special interest in natural art and using recycled materials. Her approach encourages children to explore creativity in fun and accessible ways.

She’s equally passionate about alternative education approaches and enjoys seeing children thrive when given the chance to learn in ways that suit them best.

“I love inspiring alternative education and watching children learn and flourish in different environments.”

Supporting Families Every Step of the Way

Anna’s combination of personal experience, community knowledge, creativity, and compassion makes her an invaluable support for the families she works with. Whether it’s problem-solving, running a creative activity, or simply listening, she is dedicated to helping every family feel understood and supported on their journey.
